We love this whisky. It first came to our attention when it took the Chairman's Trophy at The Ultimate Spirits Challenge in 2020! You can check out a Zoom tasting we did with all the Chairman's Trophies with Paul Pacult and Dale DeGroff here. It's one of the finest blended Scotches we've ever come across. It's extremely elegant, while at the same time exhibiting great power and length. It's delicious.

Double Double refers to a four-stage aging process recently introduced in this special bottling series by Dewar's.

Stage 1: Single grain and single malt whiskies are aged in separate casks.
Stage 2 Grain and single malt whiskies are blended and aged in separate casks.
Stage 3: Grain and malt whiskies are combined and aged together in oak.
Stage 4: The final blend is aged in Palo Cortado sherry casks.

The finish is medium length, featuring sweet stone and tropical fruit and a persistent licorice note, along with some cinnamon and peppery elements.
