3,000 Bottles Handcrafted In Italy
In the hills of Piedmont, where the Dolcetto grape is often relegated to the valley floors, the Battaglio family has defied tradition. Their Dolcetto 2023 vines grow atop a Barbaresco vineyard, where they bask in maximum sunlight, developing richness and character rarely seen in Dolcetto. Here, Gianluca Battaglio, along with his mother, father, aunt, and uncle, pour their lives into each vine, handcrafting just 3,000 bottles a year.
Unlike complex Nebbiolo, Battaglio Dolcetto 2023 is aged in steel for one year, preserving the grape’s purest essence. On the nose, it’s vibrant with aromas of red berries and subtle floral notes. On the palate, it’s bright, fresh, and remarkably smooth—a wine for the table, not the cellar, meant to be enjoyed now, with the people who make life full.
This is a wine that speaks of family, simplicity, and everyday joy—a tribute to the Battaglio family’s deep-rooted traditions. With each glass, you’re invited into the warm heart of Piedmont, where Dolcetto is more than a grape; it’s a symbol of home, warmth, and the enduring beauty of the simple things.
