Castello di Neive is a family-owned winery situated in the picturesque Langhe region. The Stupino family, including siblings Anna, Giulio, Italo, and Piera, oversee the estate. Their vineyards cover 150 acres, and they produce a range of wines, including Messoirano, Montebertotto, Basarin, Valtorta, and i Cortini. The winery’s history dates back to 1735 when Giacomo Stupino, the family patriarch, used his surveying expertise to acquire favorable vineyards and land. Over time, they expanded their production and renovated the castle cellars to modern standards. Today, Castello di Neive continues to create exceptional wines for both local and international markets.
Castello di Neive Montebertotto Arneis 2022 is a delightful white wine from the Piedmont region of Italy. Here are the details:
Varietal: Arneis
Region: Piedmont, Italy
Producer: Castello di Neive
Vintage: 2022
Size: 750ML
ABV (Alcohol by Volume): 13%
Winemaker Notes: This Arneis wine has a fresh and elegant nose, with a dry palate and a hint of almond on the finish. It pairs wonderfully with appetizers, vegetables, fish, rice, and pasta.
Arneis, the star white grape of Piedmont, yields a dry and subtly scented wine. Although it has been local to Roero since the 1400s, its popularity surged in the 1980s due to local demand for white wines. Interestingly, some Roero producers are exploring the ageability of high-quality Arneis. Outside of Piedmont, it is grown only to a very limited extent.
