In the heights of Sicily, where the Mediterranean is more than just a backdrop, lies the spirit of Castellucci Miano “Miano” Bianco. These vineyards—perched at 2,500 to 3,000 feet above sea level—are some of Sicily’s highest, with ancient alberello vines rooted in rugged soil, reaching up to greet the sun and the salt- laden winds that sweep inland from the sea. Here, the Catarratto grape ripens slowly, with just two clusters per vine, each one a pure, concentrated expression of this rare terroir.
As you lift the glass, the scent is unmistakable: it’s the smell of the Mediterranean. Briny, invigorating, as if the waves themselves have washed over the vines. This influence seeps into every grape, imbuing the wine with a mineral quality that’s both refreshing and complex.
The first sip is bright, with notes of citrus and apple, but beneath the fruit lies a subtle, savory undertone— the taste of sea air, of salt and mineral-rich soil, of a landscape that defies the ordinary.
And as the wine unfolds on your palate, the salt-kissed acidity mingles with soft hints of ripe stone fruit, finishing with a crispness that quenches your thirst yet leaves you yearning for more. Miano Bianco is a wine born of the mountains and the sea, of rugged peaks and gentle breezes—a glass of Sicily’s spirit, bringing the Mediterranean to you in every sip.
