Chateau d'Angludet is located in the commune of Margaux in Bordeaux. The property dates back to the 12th Century, and has been producing wines for the last 3 centuries. In 1961 the property was purchased by the Sichel family (who had been merchants in the Bordeaux wine trade for at least 100 years earlier). Currently, it is the children and grandchildren of Peter Sichel who currently call d"Angludet home.
Chateau d'Angludet has been utilizing Bio-Dynamic practices for several years - certification will be complete by the 2021 vintage.
While most '2nd labels' of Bordeaux Chateaux historically rely on youmger vines, La Dame d'Angludet is made strictly through a barrel selection. 50% of the aging is done in Amphorae which accomplishes as softer wine exhibiting less tannins.
Finesse, elegance and complexity are the watchwords of La Dame d’Angludet 2019. We find the expression of the terroir that we look for each year in Angludet. Beautifully balanced, combining purity and structure, the wine displays great capacity to age well for a great number of years. The 2019 is a beautiful illustration of the Angludet style: generous and gourmand.
