The Monte dei Ragni winery is a small family business that has been producing high-quality wines for over 500 years. The winery is led by Zeno Zignoli, a passionate winemaker who is committed to producing wines that reflect the typicality of the Valpolicella terroir.
The name "Monte dei Ragni" derives from the locality where the company's vineyards are located, a ridge that extends between the villages of Bure and Mazzurega, in the municipality of Fumane. The vineyards are located at an altitude of about 220-430 meters above sea level, on calcareous and clay soils.
The Amarone della Valpolicella 2016 Monte dei Ragni is a red wine produced by the Monte dei Ragni winery, located in Valpolicella Classica, Veneto. The wine is made from a blend of Corvina (55%), Rondinella (40%) and Molinara (5%) grapes. The bunches are dried for 5 months, after which they are vinified in large oak barrels. The wine then matures for at least 36 months in barrels, before being bottled.
To the eye, the Amarone della Valpolicella 2016 Monte dei Ragni has an intense ruby red color. The bouquet is complex and intense, with notes of ripe red fruit, spices, tobacco and chocolate.
Amarone Classico di Monte dei Ragni is a complex, rich and imposing wine, vinified and aged for over 36 months in large barrels. The nose is concentrated and deep, with notes of blackberry, plum and balsamic herbs in evidence. The sip is soft and robust, with a remarkable flavor and a very long persistence.
