In the beautiful country of Véron, cradled between the Loire and the Vienne, the Olga Raffault estate has been passing on its know-how in the production of its Chinon wines for five generations! Olga Raffault devoted her whole life to these landscapes that she loved so much and always knew how to share her love of wine!

Les Picasses  Chinon Rouge

The Picasses draw from the limestone a very structured structure offering them a very high aging capacity of at least 15 years and much more depending on the vintage and the conditions of evolution.

A partial to total aging in 30hl barrels over a period of 12 to 24 months depending on the vintage will allow the wine to refine its powerful tannins, support of a superb aromatic complexity.

Capricious in their youth, the Picasses reached their optimum phenolic maturity reveal over time a fine persistent bouquet of small black fruits with cocoa, liquorice and spices notes coated with its dense and vinous matter.

The Leaves and Picasses are harvested manually and then are destemmed in the cellar.
