Paul Hobbs Description
Mark & Francis have been major fans of Paul Hobbs since the early days of Stage Left 'An American Cafe'. The Paul Hobbs winemaker dinner held every January continues to be our most popular, selling out the entire restaurant. Paul has even made special bottlings in honor of each of Mark's four children.
About the Vineyard - Named in honor of the founder of Napa, the vineyard is tucked in southeastern Napa Valley at the foot of the Vaca Mountain Range. Known for its volcanic soils and cool climate with its close proximity to the San Pablo Bay, it’s planted to all five Bordeaux varieties that feature muscular and structured wines with intense black fruit and mineral profile.
About the Bottle
Situated on gently sloping terrain in southern Napa Valley, this cooler site for cabernet sauvignon reveals cassis, mocha and black olive with an intensely structured palate of earth and dark chocolate, possessing bold, chewy tannins that fill the mouth.
