Serious! - This wine does not put the fruit forward, but it has lovely fruit and a generous structure. The emphasis is on leather, tobacco, resin, hard spices, a hint of licorice.  Lovely dried flowers again in the finish. Generous but not opulent. Great structure. Perfect for food. Elegant and Masculine. 

Tassi was founded by Guido Franci, born in 1910. He had worked as a sharecropper for the Biondi Santi family since he was a boy. Eventually, the family went on to raise renowned honey and to operate the famous Drogheria Franci shop and restaurant. Now, Guido's grandson Fabio manages the historic Enoteca located inside the Fortezza di Montalcino. The family has vineyards in different areas of Montalcino and guard their ancient terroir fiercely.
