A punch in the face of brawny masculine Brunello! A smokey campfire. Beautiful elegant fruit in a resinous structure, glycerol (slippery) but not to much. Perfectly woven, masculine remarkable.  Blackberries in the finish.  This wine is for the ages.

Tassi was founded by Guido Franci, born in 1910. He had worked as a sharecropper for the Biondi Santi family since he was a boy. Eventually, the family went on to raise renowned honey and to operate the famous Drogheria Franci shop and restaurant. Now, Guido's grandson Fabio manages the historic Enoteca located inside the Fortezza di Montalcino. The family has vineyards in different areas of Montalcino and guard their ancient terroir fiercely.
