The Vineyard
Valle Alta is located 256 metres above sea level on marlstone soil and with the perfect positioning and height to grow the Amarone grapes.
The Winemaking
After the grapes have been pressed, the wine stays in containers which allow the tertiary aromatic complexation and the strengthening of the body.
This process lasts approximately seven months, after which we proceed to a fundamental step for the improvement of the final harmony in tasting: the rest of the wine in 50 liter glass demijohns, hermetically sealed, for a very long period of seven years .
Finally, before going on the market, the wine is bottled and it stays there for about a year, to refine the overall balance and elegance.

In Valpolicella’s hills, 2015 was a rare, perfect year—a warm summer with just enough rain, gifting the vineyards a vintage like no other. Only exceptional years yield a single vineyard Amarone like Valle Alta, and 2015 shines as one of them, recognized as a five-star vintage by the Valpolicella Consortium, celebrated for its elegance and complexity.
The 2015 Valle Alta Amarone is a story in the glass: a deep garnet, capturing centuries of refinement. The nose brings bold black cherry, dried plum, and a hint of earth from the ancient soils. On the palate, ripe red fruits open to notes of dark cocoa and roasted coffee, each flavor lingering richly.
Aged three years in French barrique and larger casks, it gains subtle woodland echoes, then rests six years in glass for its character to reach full expression. Ugolini Valle Alta Amarone 2015 is no ordinary wine; it embodies nature’s mastery and time’s patience. Each sip invites you to something timeless—a rare journey worth savoring. 35-40 years of aging potential.
