Gianfranco Elampini, founded Vigna ‘800 in 2001 to make exceptional wines in the Valpolicella region. He has succeeded spectacularly.

Garganega is the grape that makes up Soave. While this is not a Soave, it is 100% garganega from Gianfranco's vineyards. The wine is positively striking.  The nose is redolent with pears/apples, flowers.  The mouth explodes with crisp tree fruit and honey. The wine has great structure however with a bright acidity and just a hint of tannic backbone.
