This single malt has been matured exclusively in a refill American oak cask for at least 21 years. The Balvenie Malt Master David Stewart carefully samples the aged whisky, cask by cask, and will select only single malt characterized by subtle spices and a rich honey sweetness to be bottled at The Balvenie Single Barrel Traditional Oak.

Tasting Notes:

Whilst no two casks will ever produce an identical single malt, because of the careful sampling and selection of Malt Master David Stewart, The Balvenie Single Barrel Traditional Oak has a consistent character that is deep and delicate. Mouth coating creamy rich toffee, honey and stewed fruit notes reveal velvety muscovado sugar and light orange peel. The finish is rich and lingering.
