Cappellano Barolo Chinato is a unique and historic wine from the Piedmont region of Italy. It was invented by Giuseppe Cappellano in the 1890s and is known for its complex and aromatic profile.. This wine is made by blending Cappellano Barolo with a neutral spirit that has been infused with 54 herbs and spices, including quinine, which gives it its name.
In the best Italian tradition of Amaro, Cappellano Barolo Chinato stands amongs the best. The wine is aged for 42 months in large botti before bottling, resulting in a rich and layered flavor profile. It features notes of sarsaparilla, spearmint, black licorice, bittersweet chocolate, iodine, bergamot, star anise, and quinine, all woven into a base of dried plum and perfumed rose petals.. The sweetness balances the bitter medicinal notes, making it an excellent digestivo. It can be consumed neat, on the rocks or if you're feeling sAdventure game
